Pokémon Card Shipping in Canada – CardNest Delivery Guide

At CardNest, we keep shipping simple, affordable and secure so your Pokémon cards arrive safely anywhere in Canada. We’re a small, independent online Pokémon hobby shop based in Edmonton, Alberta – with help from our very curious house cat, who “supervises” every packing station.

This guide explains how we process orders, package your Pokémon cards, and ship across Canada so you always know what to expect when you place an order with CardNest.

Order handling & packaging

Order processing times

  • Processing time: most orders are packed and handed off within 1–3 business days.
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM MST begin processing the next business day.
  • If you place an order on a weekend or holiday, we’ll start on it the next business day.
  • If multiple orders are placed within a short period, we may combine shipments when appropriate to help improve shipping efficiency.
  • If we become aware of major postal disruptions, we’ll do our best to add a notice on the site.

Order verification

To help protect both our customers and CardNest, certain orders may require additional verification before shipment.

  • This may apply to higher-value orders, multiple orders placed within a short period, unusual order activity, or other circumstances that require manual review.
  • If verification is required, we’ll contact you using the email address provided with your order.
  • Failure to respond to a verification request within a reasonable timeframe may result in shipping delays, or the order being cancelled and refunded at CardNest’s discretion.

How we package your Pokémon cards

Every order is packaged with care:

  • Cards are sleeved immediately.
  • Premium or delicate singles are protected in toploaders or sturdy holders.
  • Multi-card orders are grouped in team bags or inner envelopes.
  • All orders are sent in reinforced mailers or padded envelopes.
Fulfillment documentation: We take order accuracy seriously and may maintain packing photos, shipment records, or other fulfillment documentation to help verify order contents before orders leave our nest.

All orders ship from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

  • Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate at checkout.
  • We recommend verifying your address using Canada Post's official Find a Postal Code tool before placing your order.
  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses may result in delivery delays, returned shipments, or additional shipping charges. Any return shipping costs or re-shipping fees resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the responsibility of the customer.
  • CardNest does not offer local pickup, local delivery, or in-person meetups. Shipping every order through our trusted carriers helps ensure consistent order tracking, delivery confirmation, and a reliable experience for all customers.

Delivery estimates (Canada-wide)

Once your order has been processed, typical delivery times are:

  • Standard Lettermail (untracked): Typically 3–14 business days. Delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary based on destination, Canada Post service levels, weather conditions, and seasonal mail volumes. While uncommon, some shipments may take up to 45 days or more to arrive.
  • Tracked Shipping: 2–10 business days
  • Express Shipping: 1–8 business days

Delivery estimates are provided by our shipping partners (including Canada Post, Chit Chats and other regional carriers) and may vary by province and season.

Shipping options across Canada

CardNest ships Pokémon cards Canada-wide from Edmonton, Alberta. At checkout, you’ll see the shipping options available for your address, including:

  • Economy Lettermail → $3.49 CAD (available on orders under $35; no tracking)
  • Lettermail Disclaimer: Lettermail is untracked and does not include delivery guarantees. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on the shipping carrier.

Tracking: Tracked shipping includes a tracking number so you can follow your delivery online.

  • Tracked Parcel → $10.99 CAD
  • FREE Tracked Shipping → Available on orders $99+ CAD
  • Express Shipping: pricing based on shipping carrier's rates.
  • Additional delivery requirements: Some orders may require signature confirmation or other delivery verification depending on the shipping service selected or the circumstances of the order.
Delayed, lost or damaged mail

Once an order has been handed to the shipping carrier, delivery timing and scanning are controlled by their system. Mail can move slower between provinces or during peak seasons.

If your order appears delayed, please try:
  • Checking your tracking page (if applicable)
  • Checking your mailbox or parcel pickup location
  • Asking your local post office for the latest updates

If an order arrives visibly damaged, please take clear photos of the outer packaging and cards and email us. We’ll review the situation case-by-case based on the shipping carrier's guidelines and our shop policies.
